The world's largest archaeological museum opens

The Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo officially opened to visitors on November 1st of this year. Considered the largest archaeological museum in the world, this huge cultural center has gone down in history as a unique project dedicated to the ancient civilization of Egypt.

The museum, which covers an area of 81,000 square meters, displays about 50,000 exhibits. Among them, 5,398 artifacts of Tutankhamun are presented in one place for the first time in full. The architectural design of the building belongs to the Irish company Heneghan Peng Architects.

The main hall of the museum begins with a statue of Ramses II, a symbol of Ancient Egypt. Visitors are greeted by a monumental entrance reminiscent of elements of ancient temples.

The opening ceremony was attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, as well as culture ministers and diplomatic representatives from many countries. The event emphasized the importance of international cooperation in preserving and passing on Egypt's ancient heritage to future generations.

The opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum is considered a new stage in Egypt's tourism industry. According to official data, the museum is ready to receive up to 5 million tourists a year. Together with the Giza pyramid complex, located near Cairo, the museum will become the center of the country's main tourist route.

The museum is located in the western part of Cairo, just 2 kilometers from the Giza pyramids. Special shuttle buses, a ticket system and a guide service via a mobile application will be provided for visitors.
